Gavin Watson has supported the Green IQ vision of Exec Mayor Mpho Nawa of the West Rand District Municipality. Several major functions were hosted by the Bosasa Group, for the WRDM and Mayor Nawa, to champion environmental causes resulting in significant greening of the area to counter global warming. The Mogale Business Park as a sustainability model has become acclaimed as the lungs and green belt of the WRDM.
Growing the social environment
The social environment has also been identified by Gavin Watson as a target of growth. This includes the community as well as employees of the Bosasa Group. To further promote sustainable growth Gavin Watson has promoted an equitable employment drive making Bosasa the largest employer in the area. Bosasa sustainability has been enhanced by the provision of an ongoing skills development with accredited training packages and measurable career path development.
